Draco eyed Astoria with blaitent shock.
Why was she touching the fridge. We don't touch the fridge! that's what house elves are for.
'Wha...What are you doing? and what are you wearing!' Draco blurted blinking over and over.
Draco had never seen anyone in his household in such clothing.
His mother wore full lenght dressing gowns and he had only seen those when he was very young.
It was a well known fact that ladies did not socialise with the household until they were fully dressed.
She was practically naked for christ sakes!
'Go and put some clothes on at once! my mother is in the next room' Draco snapped.
As he did, Narcissa walked briskly into the kitchen.
She stopped dead in her tracks.
He jaw dropped slightly at Astoria's attire. She span lightly on her feet and exited once more.
'Go on, quickly before my father sees as well!' Draco hissed, physically pushing her out of the kitchen.
Draco stood at the foot of the stairs as Astoria hurried back up them with a scowl on her face.
From the drawing room which was directly opposite his father called him.
Draco cringed.
As he entered Lucius began.
'It pains me to say this Draco as I would have though a man of your age would have been intelligent enough to have grasped this information'
Draco stood straight and tall like a soldier being given orders.
'You future wife should never be visible in...whatever that was' Lucius said rolling his pen in his fingers.
'Yes father, I did actually just tell her...' Draco was interrupted.
'Clearly telling her is not very affective' Lucius nodded out of the door.
Astoria was sneeking back into the kitchen now aided with a dressing gown.
Draco gritted his teeth.
'Please explain to your future embarrassment that behaviour of this nature will not be tollerated'
'Yes father' Draco said nodding.
'You may go' he droned.
Draco marched to the kitchen in a fit of rage, how dare she get him in trouble.
He grabbed her by the wrist and swung her round aggressively, slamming her back into the fridge.
Draco was very tall and very strong. He could actually be very nasty when he wanted to be and at this point Deatheaters may have shuddered.
'Listen you dimwitted lunatic' Draco growled.
She wriggled beneath him but he was not letting her free an inch.
'You are to be my wife and believe me I hate the idea more than your miniture brain can fathom but it's happening, so you need to start behaving or I am going to have to sort you out. Do I make myself clear?' Draco shouted.
He was sure his father would be listening and would be proud.
He pinched his full body weight on to her frontally and pinned her tighter to the fridge.
'If you show me up infront of my father again I will personally obliterate you'
Draco could see the fear in her eyes. Possibly not the best way to begin a betrothment but what is a boy to do?

Astoria blinked. "I'm making breakfast and wearing pajamas." She said in a matter of fact tone, staring at Draco as if he had a unicorn horn coming out of his forehead.
Jeez. What got his panties up in a bunch? Didn't he know how to say good morning to her?
"Why I am wearing clothes." Astoria said matter of factly.
Sure, ladies should do that, but in her household, they wore pajams in the house unless her parents were having company over, then they would leave their bedroom in full clothes attire. Aside from that, the Greengrass household was very lax. Blame it on the mother who liked to have a laidback atmosphere while still being aristocratic at the same time.
Astoria scowled at him. Well this wasn't a good morning indeed. She muttered a "fine" before stomping upstairs to her room, grabbing a long overgown from the closet in the bedroom, presumably Narcissa's, and then left again, hoping that this was alright attire for making breakfast.
All she wanted to do was make some breakfast for herself. Her parents saw no need to have house elfs to be making the food. They had the house elves make the rooms tidy and the clothes laundred. But in her household, it was a family function to make meals together. It gave them time to talk about their day while cooking somethind delicious together. Astoria sighed. She just wanted her mother back from the dead.
She walked into the kitchen and then gasped when he grabbed her by the wrist and swung her around and slammed against the fridge. She glared. "What's your deal?" She demanded angrily. Didn't he know not to hurt girls?
Astoria did not like how close he was to her. She didn't even care about the insult that he said. She squirmed, not liking how close he was. "Stop shouting, you're giving me a headache." She growled, knowing that with her tone of voice, she was a force to be reckoned with. "Just because I will be your wife does NOT mean that I will obey your every command. I will be your wife in a companion way, but I will not obey you. In a marriage, we are equals. If you ever lay a hand on me again, I will castrate you."
Astoria glared, not showing the fear she had of him being so physically close to her. Astoria did not like this position at all. She had a mini flashback of when a guy pinned her against the wall of Hogwarts, and almost had his way with her until some guy stunned him with a spell. Astoria was still visibly shaken from that event. She was intact, but still mentally shaken. She glared at him again, and then swiftly, slapped his cheek.
"You will NOT own me. You will NOT control me. If you think that, then consider this marriage divorced a day after we get married." Astoria said coldly, before leaving the kitchen, and went up to her bedroom and magically locked the door.
Astoria hopped into the shower and washed her hair, coming out of the shower and magically dried her hair before putting on nice jeans and a black longsleeved top with a lace cami underneath, with a white and black polka dotted cardigan over it. She slipped her feet into nice black boots, and pulled her hair back into an half-up, half-down hairdo, and left the room again, sticking her wand up in her sleeve to go to the kitchen to get something to eat this time.

Lucius had been listening and for once agreed Draco had done pretty much all he could do.
Draco was so thrilled by this that he would have quite happily welcomed a naked Astoria to belly dance infront of his family wearing a pinapple in her hair.
This was not the same thought Lucius had.
With in moments Lucius had summoned Astoria's father.
Draco sat in the Drawing room opposite Mr Greengrass and Narciss.
He felt a little awkward to say the least.
Lucius paced back and forth as he unveiled the details of Astoria's behavior in great detail including her statement of divorce and her reference to 'castration'.
Mr Greengrass was terribly apologetic.
He had handed over much more money than he could actually afford and was well aware he would never see it again, even if the marriage did not take place.
As Astoria narrowed the stairs, Mr Greengrass, Lucius and Narcissa were waiting for her.
Mr Greengrass a rather florecent shade of purple.
Draco watched from the study.
He didn't want to marry her anyway.
Why couldn't she just go home?
Clearly it was not going to work, why not just give up now?
Life would be good again.

Astoria went down the stairs and saw her father there his face purple. "Father?" She asked, blinking at her father. Mr. Greengrass swallowed. "Can I speak with you in private daughter?" He asked, making her nod in answer. They walked into the drawing room and her father rounded on her.
"You just had to talk back to Draco? Why Astoria? Why did you do it? You couldn't have followed the rules at this house! I had paid loads of money for you to be married to Draco. Don't waste it now." Mr. Greengrass shouted at his daughter, who glared in return.
"For one thing, I will NOT be the obedient wife that they want me to be. That is sexist, dad. And mother wouldn't even allow it either. She wasn't obedient to you. She was the head of our family. Secondly, no one told me the rules of the house, so I had no idea how to dress for breakfast. Thirdly, You did NOT have to pay them money for me to get married! Mom would have never wanted me to get an arranged marriage. You guys married for lo-"
SLAP.
The slap echoed throughout the room, and Astoria's cheek stung. As much as her pride stung too. She knew that Narcissa, Lucius, and Draco were most likely listening outside of the drawing room.
"You will follow the rules of their house. Do what they say. They are gracious people to let you into their home. Do not disrespect them." Mr. Greengrass glared at his insolent daughter.
"But I haven't disrespected the-"
SLAP.
"I told you, Do NOT talk back to me! Or Interrupt me when I'm speaking!" Mr. Greengrass shouted, his face a lovely mix between purple and red at this point. Astoria stayed silent.

Draco felt awful.
The truth was he hadn't wanted to get her into trouble.
Well to be fair and honest, he hadn't gotten her into trouble.
She had gotten her self into trouble.
He hadn't told his father, his father had heard.
Still.
Draco wanted nothing more in the world to be well respected by his father.
He longed for the day Lucius would finally say I am proud of you son, though it hadn't come yet.
Astoria must be terrfied and very upset.
For a start her father had booted her out of her own home. That must feel pretty crappy.
It's not even like the Malfoy's had bought her, Mr Greengrass had paid them to take her. Ouch.
Suddenly her spite a reckless behaviour made a little more sense.
Still, she had to know what was acceptable and not acceptable. In upper class, pure blood, wizarding families the husband was always in charge.
As Astoria's voice travelled 'She wasn't obedient to you. She was the head of our family' Lucius rolled his eyes. The things some men get themselves into. This is why women must be kept on a short leash. You give them and inch and they run to the top of Everest with your wallet and testicles.

Astoria hated this. She didn't want to be hit by her father. Not at all. Ever. Narcissa listened outside and stifled a gasp when she heard a smack. Narcissa would never lay a hand on her son. She hated the thought of corporal punishment. Narcissa looked over at Lucius who was rolling his eyes and Draco who was quiet. Narcissa sighed and then knocked on the door, making Mr. Greengrass stop his rambling to the now-near mute daughter of his. "Excuse me, Mr. Greengrass, I was thinking of taking Draco and Astoria out into town today." Mr. Greengrass's eyes narrowed, and then glared at his daughter before leaving the room in a huff, going to the fireplace to floo back home.
Astoria sat there, numb. She didn't want the husband to be in charge. She didn't want to be in charge either. She wanted equality, that yes, in the end the man can be in charge, but she wanted to have input into how their family will be.
And yes. It sucked that her father paid them to take her. He obviously thought that no one would want her, hence the paying the Malfoys. Astoria looked over at Narcissa who walked in, and gasped, seeing the bright red mark on her face, now turning purple from a bruise that her father caused. "I'm so sorry about him." Narcissa said, her eyes full of worry. "Wait here, I'm going to get some healing salve that'll heal it right up." Narcissa left the room.
Astoria sighed softly. Narcissa was wonderful. She was warm-hearted, even though her husband wasn't. She was definitely the mother type. And the mother type was what she wanted right now. She just wanted to know that she will be okay. She didn't want to be tied to her family in any way shape or form anymore.
No one in the Greengrass family ever did or had corporal punishment. It was barbaric in their words. And her father broke that rule of corporal punishment. Astoria heard footsteps again, and turned her head away, not sure if she even wanted to talk to Draco at this moment.
