Astoria and Daphne's mother died one month ago. It had been the day before her 17th birthday. Since then, her father had all but left her for dead. She knew he loved her, but she thinks it had something to do with that fact that she was almost the splitting image of her mom. "Tori, your father wants to see you in his study. Now, ma'am," Laura, the house maid, said. Astoria looked up from her novel and nodded. This is the first time since her mom's death that her father actually wanted to sit down and talk to her. She blew on her bangs softly and climbed out of her bed. Her bed was built into the wall and it took a small curving staircase to reach it. Once out of bed, she followed Laura out of her room silently until she reached her father's study. Laura knocked and held the door open for her. "That's all Laura. Thank you," her father's booming voice commanded. Laura sent Astoria a look filled with pity and Astoria could feel the color drain from her face. "Come, Astoria. Sit. We need to talk." She slowly made her way to the chair she always sat in when Dad wanted to speak to her in this room. However, he didnt sit with her. He moved to the large, empty fireplace and stood with his back to her. "Tori, Astoria, I dont know how to make this easier on you. But I've made a decision. You arent going to like it, but in this you have no choice. It's for your own good." He ran his hands over his face. His face had aged drastically in one month. "You..." he sighed. "You are going to live with the Malfoy's. They are a very prestigious family. They have accepted you with open arms." He turned to look at her. Astoria was shaking her head silently in denial. "Tori... you are betrothed to their son, Draco Malfoy. As you are different ages, you wont be getting married until we feel you are ready. By law, with parental consent you can be married now, but we want to give you both time to accept this. However, you have until your 18th birthday to come to terms with this. Then, you will be married regardless. For now, you will live together, and you will be together. I will not hear of you having any other relationships with anyone else. He is expected to remain loyal to you as well. Regardless of your feelings, you will be married." Fast foward a week later..... Astoria sighed as she was helped to her own bedroom by the house elf named Lucy. She had flooed in to the family's living room to meet the family. However, she only met her house elf, Lucy. She smiled at the maid. "Thank you." Lucy smiled and nodded and left. Astoria pushed the door open and gasped. it was large and grand, and sophisticated. Unlike her light pink room at home. This was totally different. She beamed and made her way to her queen-sized bed and started to giggle as she jumped onto it. Laughing to herself, she continued to jump for a few minutes before she flopped onto her back on her large bed. She looked up at the ceiling and lazily played with her hair. She wasn't happy to be with Draco. Considering she knew how he acted. But hell, this room was nice. She heard a knock on the door and called, "Come in!" www.michelle-nunes.com/images/index_01.gif <---Astoria

Draco hated the dinner parties his parents threw. Though this one was apparently to announce something very important. The only thing that was remotely interesting about them was the women they invited but that was not even a slight bother this evening. Draco closed his eyes in pleasure and let out a deep breath. Felicity Hallow was not a close friend of Draco's. She was a student at Beauxbaton's academy and didn't speek alot of understandble English. She did however under stand the laws of sexual attraction and was performing a rather remarkable display right now. Draco gripped the duvet beneath his fingers and pushed into his duck feather matress as she edged him deeper into her mouth. She really was a very appealing mate. The truth was Draco would probably never contact Felicity again. He had no desire for a mate. He was a ripe eighteen. Legal age and finally he would make his mark. He would follow in his fathers footsteps. The deatheater in him craved the chance to shine and the young man in him craved...woops, too late. Really should have given the poor girl some warning first. Still what did she expect? Sunshine and rainbows? Hmm. Need a tissue. Draco was very sensible when it came to sex. He had to be. His mother was very fond of buying him expensive clothes and if he had soiled them with some form of unspeakable bodily fluid he would indeed be highly scolded. That's the thing about having deatheater parent's, being grounded is not a worry, being tortured however is rather an issue. He sat naked on the bed as Felicity wiped her mouth and smiled at him from her knees. Draco smiled awkwardly. What was she looking at? What did she want, a treat? Shoo stray shoo! He leaned over to a box of tissues and adressd the current situation. As he stood, Felicity followed his action. Draco walked into the bathroom for a quick was but when he returned she was still there! 'Je le Draco Malfoy, comment peut-il je vous adorent-il simplement jamais vivre des autres qui vous connaissent si lointain de phase ?' Felicity cried. In English this meant: I simply adore you Draco Malfoy, how can I ever live another knowing you live so far away? In Draco's mind this meant: Your penis is so big, I will have jaw lock for weeks but alas I am not angry. 'Cheers darlin' Draco said kissing her forhead as he dressed. She seemed sad and very confused. When Draco was dressed he took a deep breath and eyed himself in the mirror. He looked good. Narcissa had impecable taste. Now, what to do about you? He turned to Felicity. 'No Florance..' Draco began. 'Fow..Liss...Oh...Tee' she stated very slowly and smiled as if she had just won a prize. 'yes, yes, good, good, now dear I'm afraid you will have to scoot off now as I have a terribly important party to attend' He took her arm and urged her to the fire place. As she moved with him she beamed. 'I am partnorr forrr danseeng?' She asked in a very strong accent. 'Yes, yes ok now just stand in there' Draco pleaded pointing at the coals on the pit of the fire place. Her never used the fire so they wouldn't be warm. Felicity looked confused. Poor girl. Oh Well. Draco threw a handful of floo powder into the fireplace and shouted 'somewhere in France!' she squealed and with a swirl of green flame Felicity was gone. Well, that was more trouble than it was worth. Women. Honestly. It was then that Draco heard a young girls soft laughter. He walked down the corridor to a door that was slightly a jar and knocked. Did they have guests? he wasn't informed. A rather soft girlish voice, clearly belonging to a young girl asked him politely to enter. He didn't. He push the door fully open with his hand. When he first spotted the young maiden he smirked. He recognised his school days though he couldn't remember her name. He sloped elegantly against the door frame. 'Alright?' He nodded to her. He eyed he from head to toe. Very pleasing face, delicate features. Petite waist and what appeared to be a well formed wrack. Was this a late birthday present? Of course not, probably another guest for the party. Well at least she spoke English.

Tori wasn’t sure why she was here at this estate really. Apparently from what she heard from Lucy is that they have the second largest garden in England, and that it has been in magazines all over the world. It sounded like a exquisite place in the backyard, and Astoria was just dying to try out. She sighed as she blew upwards towards her bangs, and giggled as they flew up slightly in the air and then feathered gently across her forehead. She was an adorable girl, even though she didn’t think so herself. Dark brown hair a bit past her shoulders in waves, blunt bangs across her forehead, pouty lips, wide teal eyes, high cheekbones. She was gorgeous. Except for her lack of height. She was really only five feet tall, but she did have definite curves that is for sure.
“I wonder how big this place is. It seems huge.” She muttered to herself, flipping her hair constantly. Like most people, Astoria had quirks. Many quirks. She would put up her hair when she was determined or troubled or upset or thoughtful, or that she let it down when she was calm and happy and then when she was nervous and anxious or hyper or jittery, she flipped it repeatedly from left to right and then back. She also only ate a few things that could fill up only half of one side of a menu. No joke. She was a picky eater, and picky drinker. And no illegal drinks for her. She does not want to lose her inhibitions. Astoria sat up, feeling a presence at her doorway and gasped, holding her hand to her heart. She sat up straighter, and flipped her hair from the left to the right and back. She blinked at him. She looked at him with a tilted head. Astoria sized him up. He looked pretty tall from where she was sitting, and white blonde hair and light blues eyes. Astoria herself had light eyes to compliment her very slight tan. She wore a simple black v-necked t-shirt, grey skinny jeans, and pink socks, her sneakers discarded by the door. “Of course I'm alright." She said, not mad, but her tone was teasing. Astoria smiled. “I’m Astoria." She added, not forgetting her manners.

'Malfoy, Draco Malfoy' He added. He walked into her room and the five large suitcases accompanied by boxes. He was rather befuddled. He was aware women did not travel lightly but all this for a party. That was bonkers. 'Sure you didn't forget anything?' Draco teased, turning to face her. He chewed his bottom lip as he eyed her again but from much closer. He could see all the textures from here. The sun really was her friend. Not like him. The sun made his appear gaunt and hollow, the moon however possessed a rather gift which exentuated Draco's figure and muscles. ((Sorry it's so short but I always think when someone is having a conversation it should be a shorter post as it is back and forth. No point in rambling for the sake of it, you know?))

Astoria chuckled with a smile. "nice to see you Draco." Of course Tori knew of Draco. Her elder sister was with Draco in his year. And yet, at eighteen, she was already married to Blaise Zabini. Amazing really. She lived in the Zabini household and soon she and Blaise will be moving into their own place in London. Tori couldn't wait. She loved seeing her sister, even though Daphne was a bit of an ice queen around her.
"Nope." She said with a grin as she sat up more, popping the "p" sound at the end of the word. "Apparently I'm going to be living here for a while. I dunno why." She lied, with a shrug at the end of the sentance. Of course she knew why. But apparently the dinner was for them, and Draco was supposed to find out then. Oh well.
"So will the dinner be entertaining tonight?" Astoria asked as she looked over to see him, raising an eyebrow towards him.

Living there? Another one! The Malfoy Manor had become some sord of squat house apparently. At least three times Draco recalled that strange children had come to live in his home. Now he was older he realised that it had not been a case of fostering and unfostering unwanted children but more that there parents had also been deatheaters and when they were summoned for different missions, Narcissa would take the children in whilst their parents carried out their duties. It was actually very noble of his mother. However Astoria was no child. She could clearly take care of herself. Why couldn't she stay in a hotel? Oh maybe she was poor! that's a shame. Draco didn't often think of poverty. It was not an issue in his life and he rather viewed it as someone elses business. Hmmm. Well indeed. Living with a rather delicious looking female couldn't be too bad, although he was sure his father would sit him down for the 'talk'. When girls had resided their in the past Draco had always been scolded before he had even considered the possiblity of sex. His parents knew him to well. Draco often thought that maybe they had an inkling to his behaviour as Lucius may have been the same at his age. He never asked. He didn't honestly want to know. Yuck!
'Nope!' Draco mimicked her previous answer with a teasing playful tone.
'To be honest with you, these parties are normally extremley dull' He said rolling his eyes.
'It's all about who got a promotion and the highest salary and then some old tart shows off the diamond's she bought after she inherited her husbands money in the divorce' Draco smirked.
It really was always very boring.
'Still, we can make it fun' Draco flirted.
He waited for his penis to respond as it normally did on such an occassion but nothing. No twitch. No, 'oh yes we can!' it was dead to the world. Well it was rather exhausted. Can you blame it? Still Draco kept a strong poker face. It would probably not be wise to alert Astoria to the limpness of his genitals so soon after introductions. Maybe after dinner.

Astoria would rather be in a hotel than be at this house. She had nothing against the parents, but rather what they were doing. I mean, Voldie-moldy-shorts is GONE. G-O-N-E. Harry had done with him two years ago. And yet, there are still Death Eaters around? Couldn't they do something more noble, like helping kids in Africa? Something other than thinking that there is a dark lord out there somewhere...when he has been dead for the past year?
Astoria heard his comment about the parties being dull. "What a shame." She said with a sigh as she twirled her hair around her finger. "I doubt it'll be that tonight. About a divorce. Probably the opposite for that manner." She said with a forewarning tone. She knew about what the dinner party was supposed to be about. Them.
Astoria raised an eyebrow at his comment. "Oh really? How?" She asked in a disbelieving tone. Oh if he's thinking about sex, she is outta here. Tori does not have sex with people she just met. or rather, she doesn't have sex-ever. She is still a virgin and would rather keep it that way til it means something meaningful. But then again, he would be her future husband. And apparently they're supposed to be faithful to each other, which Astoria doubted that Draco would be.
"Draco! Astoria! Dinner in fifteen minutes! Please dress semi-formally!" Astoria heard Narcissa call from outside the bedroom. "Okay!" Astoria called back, before getting up and walked over to Draco. Dang he's taller than her. Astoria was a petite tiny little thing at five feet tall. Astoria went and pushed Draco out. "I'll see you in fifteen. Bye!" She closed the door and locked it before going over to the closet to see waht to wear. Hmmm...
Astoria picked out a black strapless dress with white and black heels. She kept her hair down and wavy, and added a small white purse to go along with her outfit. She heard a knock on the door and called. "Come in!" Since Astoria knew that it was Draco.

As Draco entered he couldnt help but notice that she did look breath takingly beautiful.
Not hot or sleezy but pure beauty was radiating from her.
It was only for a moment but he got a glimmer of an old friend in her eyes. Daphne.
Astoria, ofcourse. Daphne Greengrass's sister. Well this is awkward, probably shouldn't mention I slept with Daphne, at her at Blaize's wedding, where I was best man. Oh well all in the past.
Daphne married ay, so strange. I can't even imagine being married. Tied down. Ugh I'd hate it.
He offered Astoria his arm which she took and together they narrowed down the large stone stair case.
Narcissa stood at the bottom of the stairs sobbing. She always got very enthusiastic when she saw Draco in formal wear but this was a little bit much.
As they came to the ground floor Lucius met them and took Astoria to her seat and Draco escorted his mother.
Dinner at the Malfoy's was like a dance, and everyone knew the boring steps.
The first course went rather slowly. The evening seemed to last forever. Draco just wanted his bed.
He attempted to entertain Astoria with simple joke charms under the table but she did not seem impressed, rather took it to be very inappropriate and rude.
Not so beautiful now. Swatty cow. Maybe I will tell her about shagging her sister...twice.
After the third course was over Lucius stood and clinked his wine glass with a fork.
Same boring speech coming up. Draco knew it off by heart...No wait, this wasn't the speech...

Astoria smirked when he eyed her. "Take a picture, it'll last longer." She said with a giggle as she walked with him to the dining room. Of course she knew about Daphne and Draco at Blaise's wedding. Bloody hell, they were sisters. They talked about everything.
But to Tori, she didn't think that she and Blaise would be faithful to each other during their marriage, but apparently Daphne is proving her wrong and only being with Blaise. And Blaise was undeniably faithful, he should have been a Hufflepuff. Astoria knew. She and Blaise are very good friends after all.
Astoria smiled at Narcissa. She was a bit snobbish to others, but to her, Narcissa was a doting mother who loved her son so much. Lucius was a bit stoic, but very regal and aristocratic. Shame that his regalness was there only til he was kissing the feet of Voldemort in admiration as a servant. Lucius should just start as being his own powerful wizard, with no servants, just himself gaining wealth and political control, but that's her idea.
The first course went slowly, and Astoria picked at the first course. She just wanted her macaroni and cheese and hot chocolate. She didn't want any of this filet mignon and salad. Also, please. Draco needs to stop with the joke charms.
Thankfully the second course was a pasta dish with cheese. Good enough. Astoria ate the second course without a doubt, and the third course was tiramisu. Ew. Astoria only touched just a bit into her mouth and chewed slowly. She hated tiramisu.
Lucius stood up as he started to speak. "Astoria, your father and I thought it would be best to connect our families, to start our way towards a nice political future. Your father is an esteemed worker in the Ministry with a seat in Wizegamont, and with my help, we will gain control over the Ministry of Magic. With that said, we thought it would be best if you two were to be married when Astoria becomes eighteen. As for right now, you two will become FAITHFUL," Luicius emphasized with a glare towards his son, "boyfriend and girlfriend until the coming out ball that is in a month. Then after that, planning for the wedding. And Astoria, you will beget an heir for the Greengrass-Malfoy family. All in all, welcome to the family, Astoria. " Luicius raised a glass of wine to the table, Narcissa following in suit to clink glasses.
Astoria sat in the seat in shock. She was to BEGET an HEIR?! Didn't this man know that she was only 17 and not old enough to even take care of herself fully, much less a baby of her own. Sure, Draco's parents had him when they were eighteen, then add another eighteen years later, and they were about thirty six, and Narcissa could probably push out another baby at this age, but hell, they were NOT ready for that. Astoria sat there in shock.

'Wait, what?!' Draco blurted, spilling his wine.
'Who's getting married?' Draco looked at his mother, his father, Astoria and then went through them all again.
'I'm slightly confused, why would I stay faithful to someone if they are getting married?' Draco grunted
'Surely the poor chap will be a bit disheartened' Draco laughed at his joke.
No one else did.
'Beget? had he heard beget? who and why was their to be an heir beggetted at all?!, for what?'
Were the Malfoy's adopting this one? Actually going through with it.
Well you think you have seen everything.
Lucius rolled his eyes and sat down.
Narcissa leaned in with nerves stricken across her face.
'Now biddie' she began.
Oh great, now the hot girl with no tolerrence or sense of humour knows mums highly embarrassing nick name for me. Sheesh.
'It's only right that you should be married. Your almost nineteen' She smiled quivering. Looking to Lucius for assistance.
Lucius had his eyes shut and his face in a whiskey tumbler.
'Wait, me?...me...marry her?!' Draco asked, his jaw inches from the table.
'It's all arranged pudding' Narcissa added.
Draco couldn't speak.
What?
How could anything be arranged. He didn't even know.
'I'm not getting married!' Draco shouted standed up, throwing his napkin at the table with force.
Lucius stood instantly and raised his voice so loud that the Wash cloth weasley's must of heard it from their tin shack 200 miles away.
'Draco Lucius Malfoy you live in my house and obey my rules, and when I say you are fit to marry you will marry!' He bellowed.
Draco's heart stopped beating. He felt all the colour drain from his cheeks.
Narcissa looked anxiously at Lucius and then at Draco.
'Your father and I had an arranged marriage poppet, it's what true class does' she encouraged.
Well Draco did want everything the true class way but still this was barbaric.
'You wouldn't concieve a child right away, you'd have some time to bond' She smiled really feeling like her comment had in some way helped.
Infact it had made things so much worse.
Draco's heart had only just returned to a slow beat when it stopped dead again.
Was this really happening?
He looked around. Everyone looked so serious. This wasn't a joke. Oh my God.

Astoria watched as Draco went....well...bat shit crazy. Sure she flipped a shit too when her father told her. Astoria kept a stony look on her face, showing her disdain for this idea. "Isn't it illegal for an arranged marriage? I mean, I have a right to not marry Draco. I am of age." Tori protested as she looked over from Draco to Lucius who's eyebrow twitched. "Astoria, you will get married to my son. And you two WILL be faithful to one another. I was arranged to marry with Narcissa and look how well we came out to be." Lucius said with a hint of a smile thrown towards his loving wife. Astoria hid a smile when Narcissa used Draco's nickname. Heh. Cute. Well, Astoria had no idea that they were arranged. Hell, that threw her for a loop. Astoria sat there for a while, thinking it over. "Narcissa? Lucius? May I be excused to my room?" She asked politely, looking over at them. "Of course. You can think it over my dearie." Narcissa said, leaning next to her and patting her right hand gently with a smile on her face. Lucius stonily nodded. Astoria pushed her seat back and then walkd out of the room with as much dignity as she could. She went to her room and slammed the door, inwardly screaming at herself.
She did NOT want to be married to Draco. She did NOT want to "beget" an heir WITH Draco. She did NOT want anything to do with Draco. No. No way will she have sex with that sex-fiend!
Astoria huffed and slipped out of her dress and slipped into boxer shorts and a tanktop.

After a few moments of silence had past Lucius asked Narcissa to leave the room.
Draco watched his mother gulp.
Great, he was about to die. He was about to be murdered in his own home and by his own father. Brilliant.
Narcissa kissed Draco on the cheek as she left.
Draco couldnt break eye contact with Lucius, he was sure if he did he would lose a testicle or something equally as valuable...like the other testicle.
Lucius stood and retreived two crystal tumbler glasses from the counter. He filled them both with whiskey.
He slowly walked to his son and laid one down before him.
He then returned to the other end of the table and was seated.
So is this no murder or just slightly delade? Draco thought.
Narcissa tiptoed up the staircase.
She knocked quietly on Astoria's bedroom door before entering.
Astoria was in bed but was clearly not asleep.
Narcissa sat beside her and stroked her hair.
Unknown to on lookers Narcissa was actual very maternal and very affectionate.
Lucius' cruel temper and stoney embrace made her seem ice like too but she was actually a fairly warm person.
'Astoria...dear' she whispered.

Astoria wondered what Draco was doing after she got ready for bed. She sighed, as she turned on her stomach and rested on her pillow, holding a silver dragon to her. She heard a knock at the wonder and wondered if it was either Draco or Narcissa. Lucius didn't seem the type to go up to her room to talk to her. She sighed softly, and felt someone sit by her bedside to stroke her hair gently.
Astoria's heart lurched, feeling that maternal feeling. Her mother died just a month ago, and Astoria wanted her mother, now. She wanted that motherly feeling again, which she didn't have with her stone cold father of hers. Not even Daphne can be a motherly person towards her.
"Mmmm?" Astoria turned onto her back to look at Narcissa, looking down at her. They had one lamp light on, to ensure some light into the bedroom. "What is it Narcissa?" Astoria whispered, curiously, with no censure in her voice. She was merely curious as to why Narcissa wanted to talk to her in the first place.

Narcissa smiled.
It wasn't overly warm but it was her best attempt.
She was a fragile, gaunt woman with bony features. She looked cold even in the hottest sunlight.
'I know how you feel' she began.
'I was 16 when my father paid Brutus Malfoy a hefty sum in exchange for Lucius hand in marriage' she smiled as she daydreamed.
'I was devastated' she laughed softly.
''I'd never laid eyes on him a day before in my life, I was petrified. I had many siblings and the idea of leaving them so soon was very sad' she eased with a sadness in her eyes.
'Still, I look back now and realise that not only was it the right thing it was the best thing. I have husband whom I love, a home where I am safe and proud and son that is all mine. I owe all of this to my father' She swept a tear from Astoria's face.
'You will grow to love him as I grew to love Lucius, it will be hard at first, small moments you feel your grow closer and then they do something foolish and you kick yourself for allowing to believe it could ever work and then one day...one day you realise you have never loved anything or anyone quite so much in your whole life'
Narcissa was distant in thought.
'When Draco was born I wouldn't leave his side. I didn't sleep for days on end. I couldn't bare to tear myself away from his precious face'
'They grow up so fast' she laughed breathilly.
A tear rolled down her own cheek.
'And now he is yours'
'He will make mistakes, more than less. Love him, allow your heart to love him. He needs more love than even he knows. He needs a strong woman by his side to guide him when times get hard...and they will' she took a deep breath.
'Take care of my son'
'Love can be the greatest gift, the gift however never lasts, never stays fresh. Enjoy each other whilst you can. You could marry for love but love is a moment, love will fade. Security, money, class, name, these things burn bright for eternity. Make these your love. Make your marriage your work'
She leaned in and kissed Astoria on the cheek.
'Goodnight my darling, tomorrow is a new day full of new opportunities. Use it wisely'
She left the room.

Astoria laid there, listening to her story. Sure, Astoria knew about Narciss having two siblings plus the abundance of cousins that she had acquired over the years. But how could Astoria like him? Really? He was a man-whore in every sense of the word. He wanted sex and more sex day in and day out.
Astoria could tell his mother so many stories about him, and Narcissa would most likely fliip. She listened as she said that love will fade. Astoria didn't want love to fade. If there is no love in a relationship, then that relationship is a failed relationship. She wanted to marry for love and to be in love for pretty much til she dies.
That's what a marriage is. She frankly didn't care diddly squat about money class name, security. Phooey. This is why her father paid her off to get married, because she was a black sheep in the family of Greengrasses. She wanted to live her own life, away from the rules and structure of a high class family. And he didn't want to have anything to do with her.
Astoria went to sleep and it seemed as soon as she went to sleep, it was morning again and she was waking up. AStoria yawned as she looked over at her clock which read that it was eight in the morning. Ugh. Astoria wanted to sleep in more. She went downstairs to get a glass of milk and make herself some pancakes. She stepped into the kitchen, and was surprised to see Draco already there.
"Morning Draco." She said as she opened the fridge to get the ingredients out to make pancakes. Astoria didn't care at the moment about how short her boxer shorts were or how loose the tanktop was on her. She just wanted to eat her breakfast in peace that morning.
